  • Total reserves: $13.1 billion, down by $48 million
  • SBP reserves: $7.6 billion, down by $140 million
  • Commercial Banks reserves: $5.4 billion, up by $ 93 million

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Country’s total liquid foreign reserves stood at US$ 13.08 billion as of September 08, 2023, dropping by US$ 47.6 million in a week.

The data shared by the State Bank of Pakistan on Friday showed that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the Country stood at US$ 13,079.1 million.

The Central Bank’s foreign reserves also fell to US$ 7.6 billion in the week ended on September 08, down by US$ 140.4 million as they were US$ 7.8 billion by the end of previous week.

The reserves held by the Central Bank stood at US$ 7,638.9 million by Friday last whereas previously they were US$ 7,779.3 million.

Whereas the Commercial Banks had foreign reserves of US$ 5,440.2 million as of September 08, registering an increase of US$ 92.8 million.Pakistan’s foreign reserves plunge to $13.08 billion
