  • Total reserves: $12.5 billion, down by $79 million

  • Commercial Banks reserves: $5.1 billion, down by $92.6 million

KARACHI, Pakistan: The Country’s total liquid foreign reserves continue to fall and now with further decrease of US$ 79 million, they have slipped to US$ 12.5 billion.

The latest data shared by the State Bank of Pakistan showed that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the Country as of October 27, 2023 stood at US$ 12,576.6 million.

However, the Central Bank’s foreign reserves slightly jumped to US$ 7.5 billion in the week ended on October 27, showing an increase by US$ 13.6 million.

The reserves held by the Central Bank stood at US$ 7,507.8 million by Friday last whereas previously they were US$ 7,494.2 million.

Whereas the Commercial Banks had foreign reserves of US$ 5,068.8 million as of October 27, registering a decrease of US$ 92.6 million.Pakistan’s foreign reserves fall to $12.5 billion
