ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the National E-Tijarat Portal in Islamabad on Monday aimed at to promote the E-Commerce Market in Pakistan.

The volume of Pakistan’s E-Commerce market is US$ 4 billion while the global E-Commerce Market is estimated at US$ 30 trillion.

The National E-Tijarat Portal will be inaugurated at the National E-Commerce Convention being held at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will attend the Convention as the Chief Guest.

Earlier in a Tweet, Senator Faisal Javed Khan said that Pakistan witnessed an exponential growth in the E-Commerce Sector in the recent past, which will also help attract international payment gateways offer through services here.

Faisal Javed said that 45 percent increase in our E-Commerce market contributed to worldwide growth rate of 29 percent in 2021.

The Senator said that Pakistan hits its highest ever IT exports in six months. He said that IT exports during the Fiscal Year (FY) 21-22 increased by 36 percent.

Senator Faisal Javed expressed hope that Pakistan will be able to cross US$ 3.5 billion mark during the ongoing financial year. “We are also now the third largest big economy globally,” he said.
