ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s exports have witnessed $700 million boost in the first six months of this year after granting of the generalised system of preferences (GSP) plus status by the European Union, the federal minister for commerce Khurram Dastagir Khan told newsmen in Islamabad.

The commerce minister expressed resolve to take the national exports from the present $25 billion to $50 billion in the next four years.

Dastagir said that under the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a better coordination is being developed among the relevant ministries to optimally exploit the GSP plus status.
