ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s exports grew by 24% in the first seven months of the Fiscal Year 2021-22 as compared to the same period last year.

Sharing the data on Twitter on Friday, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood said that between July 2021 and January 2022, Pakistan’s exports grew by 24% to US$ 17.671 billion as compared to US$ 14.255 billion recorded in July-January 2021.

The advisor said that in January 2022, Pakistan’s exports increased by 18.7% to US$ 2.546 billion as compared to US$ 2.145 billion in January 2021.

The following are the provisional figures for export of selected commodities and market in January 2022;

Abdul Razak Dawood also said that a declining trend has been noticed in the monthly imports of the Country.

The advisor said that as compared to imports in December 2021 which stood at US$ 7.580 billion, the imports in January 2022 have declined by -22% to US$ 5.908 billion.

These were US$ billion 4.803 billion in January 2021, he added.
