BusinessPakistan repays 19th installment to IMF

KARACHI: Pakistan on Monday paid the nineteenth installment amounting to SDR 258 million (equivalent to $393 million) to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the standby agreement facility, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.

With the payment of nineteenth installment on August 26, Pakistan has so far repaid SDRs 3.319 billion ($5.055 billion) since Jul 2011. SDRs 2.835bn ($ 4.311bn) has been paid under SBA facility.

The SBP said the remaining amount due under IMF-SBA until Sept 2015 is SDRs 2.101 billion.
