KARACHI: A high-powered delegation of the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) visited Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Thursday.

OPIC President and CEO Elizabeth L Littlefield rang the bell to start trading at the exchange.

She said that the US investors are interested in different sectors in Pakistan including energy, health and education.

On the last day of their visit to Pakistan, OPIC delegation visited Karachi. Earlier, the delegation had detailed talks with the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad.

Littlefield said that the US is interested to invest in wind power projects in Sindh, adding the economic progress and job creation is only possible through encouraging private investment.
