Astana, Kazakhstan: The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has approved the construction of World Trade Center in Astana.
The World Trade Centre will be fully financed by foreign investment, reports state run news agency Kazinform.
The decision was announced for the approval of the project on Thursday during a meeting of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with Rolf Draak, a Board Member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA).
The meeting was also attended by Mehran Eftekhar, Group Finance and Corporate Services Director at Nest Investments Holdings.
According to Presidential official media portal, the meeting was also attended by Asset Issekeshev, Head of the Presidential Administration, Bakhyt Sultanov, Mayor of Astana, and Kenneth Bruce James Anderson, an architect and designer.
The project for the construction of a World Trade Center in the capital of Kazakhstan was presented to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev for approval.
During the meeting, President Nursultan Nazarbayev maintained that being the center of Eurasia, Astana combines the architectural styles and traditions of Western and Eastern cultures.
