Ishaq Dar will visit Japan to explore new avenues for economic ties

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to explore new avenues for economic cooperation and investment for different projects in Pakistan, the federal finance minister Ishaq Dar will visit Japan.

It was decided at a meeting between the finance minister and the Japanese ambassador Hiroshi Inomata in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both the sides also had discussion on holding an Investment Conference under the aegis of the Board of Investment.

Meanwhile, talking to the Governor State Bank Ashraf Mehmood Wathra in Islamabad, the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar emphasized the need for all-out efforts to achieve the target of forex reserves stipulated for the current financial year.

They also discussed performance of the banking sector in the last quarter and the stock of forex reserves in the country.
