ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) is planning to organize an Industrial Expo in the Federal Capital in the spring season, the ICCI President Sheikh Amir Waheed said.
While talking to a delegation of National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad led by its President Shakeel Anjum, which visited ICCI on Thursday, Sheikh Amir Waheed said that NPC would be made media partner of the proposed Industrial Expo.
The NPC delegation also included Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) President Afzal Butt.
During the negotiations, the two sides discussed possibilities of joint ventures between both the bodies to promote business and economic interests of the Country.
The visiting delegation was of the view that ICCI and NPC should join hands to organize Islamabad Festival to promote business activities in the region. It said that the two bodies should also join hands in organizing budget seminars and training workshops for journalists.
It said that ICCI and NPC should also work together in organizing discounted sales events on important occasions like Holy month of Ramadan to provide relief to the common man.
The ICCI president said that business community and journalists were playing important role in the society, and urged that both the bodies should work together to give positive proposals to the government on budget, trade policy and other key economic policies.
