ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has allocated Rs 29047 million under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the ongoing and new schemes of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) during fiscal years 2019-20.

According to the budgetary document on Tuesday, out of total amount, around Rs 24887 million has been allocated for ongoing schemes while Rs 4160 million has been allocated for new schemes.

Rs 4797 million allocated for Ministry of Education and Professional Training

An amount of Rs 4796.762 million has been allocated under the PSDP for ongoing and new schemes of the Federal Education and Professional Training for fiscal years 2019-20.

According to the budgetary documents, a total of Rs 2371.661 million has been allocated for ongoing schemes while Rs 2425.101 million were allocated for the new schemes of the education ministry.

Rs 516.126 million allocated for Information & Broadcasting Division

The government allocated an amount of Rs 516.126 million for various new and ongoing schemes of Information and Broadcasting Division under the PSDP 2019-20.

It allocated an amount of Rs 340.070 million for the ongoing schemes and Rs 176.056 million for the new schemes of Information and Broadcasting Division.

Rs 100 million allocated for BOI

In addition, the government allocated Rs 100 million in the PSDP 2019-20 for one on- going scheme of the Board of Investment (BOI) for the industrial promotion and Investment in the country.
