Federal budget 2014-15: 10 % increase in salary, pension of govt employees

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has presented its second budget for the financial year 2014-15 with a total outlay of Rs3.945 trillion in the National Assembly.

The new budget envisages 10 percent ad-hoc relief in the salary and pensions of the federal government employees. There will be 5 percent increase in the conveyance allowance of employees from grade 1 to 15 besides 20 percent increase in their medical allowance.

Likewise, the minimum wage of workers is being increased from 10,000 to 12,000 rupees while minimum pension for government employees would be 6,000 from July 1.
