The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched Tax Asaan App for salaried persons. The smartphone application is available on both Android and iOS. It has a very friendly User Interface (UI) and easy-to-use features to make the app useful and easy to understand. The tax Assan app can be downloaded from Google play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pral.fbr_varification_system&hl=en) and Apple store (https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/tax-asaan/id1475081010).

The announcement was made by the FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi on Twitter.

The main function of the app is to make it easier for the common salaried person to submit their own file returns without having to deal with any problems whatsoever.

The features that are currently available are as follows:

  • Online Verification Services
  • E-Payment
  • Sales tax registration process

The Online Verification Services provides a Taxpayer to make online inquiries about different statuses e.g. Status of a Taxpayer in Active Taxpayer List, information about Exemption Certificate, Notices, and Orders issued to Taxpayer through Iris, NTN/CNIC/STRN, etc. a lot of other features are also introduced such as, Taxpayers can register their business for Sales Tax, Sales Registration process will help the Taxpayers to expedite their registration process.

The E-Payments option provides the facility of paying taxes online directly through bank accounts. You can now conveniently create Payment Slips for Income Tax and Sales Tax through the app.

The last option, which is Sales Tax Registration Process, is to easily have online sales tax registration done for your businesses.
