ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to simplify relevant procedures ensuring clarity and transparency in revenue collection.
The directive was issued when he was presiding over a virtual meeting of the FBR Technical Committee in Islamabad on Friday.
In the meeting, after due deliberation, it was decided to engage experts as co-opted members to streamline the working of the FBR Technical Committee.
During the meeting, the ‘FASTER’ system of Sales Tax Refund for exporters was appreciated.
It was agreed that both FASTER and Rebates Systems would be fine-tuned for more efficient results on a priority basis.
