Though the Country remains in a grip of heightened inflation; however, the last week Sensitive Price Index (SPI) witnessed a decrease of 0.30 percent. The decline trend also reflected in the prices of Chicken in major Cities.

As per the Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the SPI for the previous week ended on March 02, 2023 recorded an increase of 41.07 percent on year-on-year (YoY) basis while a decrease of 0.30 percent on week-on-week (WoW) basis.

In the previous week, Chicken price recorded a decrease of 2.00 percent in the Country.

On March 2, 2023, the Chicken price in Karachi remained from Rs 450 to Rs 490, in Lahore it stood at Rs 436 while in Islamabad, the Chicken was sold at Rs 455-Rs 470.
