BusinessCPEC project to bring economic prosperity in Pakistan: Chairman BOI

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) Dr. Miftah Ismail has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project was a gift for Pakistan and it would bring economic prosperity in the country.

While talking to Radio Pakistan, he termed the CPEC, a gigantic milestone in the history of Pak-China relations which would help a lot to meet energy shortage in Pakistan.

CPEC project would provide a shortest way to China to reach Arabian Sea, whereas it would boost up our economy by providing massive employment opportunities, the chairman added.

The strengthening of economy is directly related with a strong defense system.

Chinese President has stated while visiting Pakistan that the Pak-China Friendship is taller than mountains and deeper than seas, he said.

He said that China wanted to bring Pakistan into developed nations.

“Our economy and industrial sector is badly affected due to energy shortfall, but the government has launched several energy generation projects which will be completed by 2018,” Miftah added.
