CNG prices reduced

ISLAMABAD: The prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) have decreased by Rs1.23 per kilogram in Region-I and Rs0.61 in Region-II after the notification for a nine percent decrease in the GST of CNG was issued.

On December 10, the Supreme Court of Pakistan while announcing its verdict in a case regarding load shedding and CNG prices had declared collection of additional 9 percent taxes on CNG as unlawful.

Following the notification issued on Tuesday, the sales tax on CNG has decreased to 17 percent. After the decrease, per kilogram price of CNG in Region-I is Rs74.25, while the price in Region-II is Rs66.14.
