ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to establish “Sasta Bazaars” in Sector G-10, I-9, G-6 and H-9 to ensure provision of quality edible items at concessional rates to the residents of the Federal Capital during the holy month of Ramzan.
A meeting in this regard was held at CDA headquarters here. On this occasion, Member Administration, Director Municipal Administration and concerned officers of the weekly bazaars were also present.
Member Administration, directed the concerned officers to establish “Sasta Bazaars” in weekly bazaars during the Holy month of Ramzan.
He further directed to ensure provision of quality edible items including fresh fruits and vegetables in these bazaars on concessional rates during the holy month of Ramzan.
Member Administration, said that in addition to the sasta bazaars, all weekly bazaars would remain functional on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday during the month of Ramzan.
He directed that the concerned formations of the Authority for provision of all edible items particularly, fresh fruits, vegetables, meat on concessional rates.
He directed Director Municipal Administration to hold talks with the stallholders for reduction in prices of all edible items so that the people could buy food items of their choice on concessional rates in sasta bazaars.
He also directed the concerned staff to strictly monitor the prescribed prices of all food items at sasta bazaars, adding that all stall holders would ensure displaying of price list at their respective stalls.
He also directed for strict security arrangements at all sasta bazaars.
The meeting was apprised that sasta bazaars would be established at CDA’s weekly bazaars on regular basis during the month of Ramzan.
The meeting was informed that applications have been invited from the desired people. They can submit these applications for stalls at sasta bazaars in the office of Assistant Director (Bazaars) in Sanitation Directorate, Sector G-6, till June 5, 2016.
Member Administration, directed the officers concerned to ensure availability of all edible items and fresh fruits and vegetables in large quantity for the residents of the capital city during the month of Ramzan.
