KHANEWAL, Pakistan: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) member of National Assembly Muhammad Khan Daha said on Thursday that 90 percent land record of rural areas across the Punjab province had been computerized through modern mechanism.

In his address at a ceremony, he credited the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for doing a commendable job. He said over 3,000 staffers were employed for computerization of land record.

The District Coordination Officer (DCO) Khalid Mahood Sheikh said computerizing of land record would rid of 150 years old patwari system. He said facility of free call center was set up for the complainants.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ishfaq Ahmad and Assistant Commissioner Abid Hussain Bhatti said 578 Mouzas of district Khanewal had been notified initially in the land record system.
