ISLAMABA, Pakistan: As many as 24,214 containers were detained at Karachi and other Sea Ports of the Country in the Fiscal Year 2022-23, the Senate was told on Tuesday.

Replying to a question, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar told the Upper House in writing that from July 2022 to June 2023, a total of 24,214 containers were detained at Karachi and other Sea Ports of the Country.

The information regarding total number of containers which were detained at Karachi & other sea Ports of the Country the period from July 2022 to June 2023 with month-wise breakup is as under:
