ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government on Friday proposed Rs100 billion for rehabilitation of Temporary Displaced Persons (TDPs) and security enhancement under a special development programme in the fiscal plan 2016-17.

Presenting budget proposals in the National Assembly, he said the operation Zarb-e-Azb had been successful and highly effective in stemming the continuing threat to the country’s peace and integrity.

   

Consequently, he said, the law and order had improved and confidence of both domestic and foreign investors was gradually rising in the government’s economic policies.

The minister paid tribute to the armed forces for rendering great sacrifices in eradicating terrorism from the country.
