LAHORE: British boxer Amir Khan made a two-day trip to his native country, Pakistan, to prepare for his wedding which is set to take place on May 31, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old Pakistani-origin two-time world champion arrived in Lahore and paid visit to Data Darbar shrine where he prayed for his success and for the success of other Muslims across the world.
Later, the boxer, accompanied by father Shah Khan and brother Haroon, went out for wedding shopping with his fiancé. The couple plans tying the knot on May 31 this year.
“I was terrified about Pakistan but I can see there is no security issue, no threats to me,” Amir Khan said.
