LAHORE, Pakistan: Six persons including two doctors suffered injuries when a brawl occurred between the hospital administration and heirs of a deceased – who they alleged died because of the negligence of the doctors at the Children’s Hospital in Lahore.

The incident took place at the Children’s Hospital located on Ferozepur Road in Lahore wherein a nine-year-old Abu Bakar lost his life, resulting in a strong demonstration by his heirs accusing doctors of negligence and demanding registration of a case over the tragic death of their loved one.Brawl in Children’s Hospital Lahore over patient’s death; 2 doctors among six injured

Initially, harsh words were exchanged but then the situation turned into a quarrel leading to the injuries of two doctors.

Meanwhile, the hospital administration and doctors also subjected the heirs of the deceased to torture.

The police registered a case against the father and brothers of the deceased for resorting to vandalism in the hospital premises while doctors ceased to perform their duties in protest.

To register their strong protest, the enraged relatives kept the dead body of the deceased on the road, severely disrupting the flow of traffic.

The police engaged in a discussion with the heirs persuading them to end their protest but it didn’t yield any fruits.
