 Mubi: Boku Haram bombed  football ground  in Mubi, northeast Nigeria killing 40 people at the spot. Bomb exploded around 1730 GMT  Kabang area and targeted football spectators who were leaving football ground after watching a local club match. Killed persons included women and children.

It may be mentioned that this area that s a part of  northeast was the site of a October 2012 massacre at a post-secondary technical college when dozens of students were killed in their dorms and some bodies were found with slitting throats. Boku Haram is a Salafi sect organisation of Islam that sect believes in slitting throats and called it Zibah (slitting throat in Arabic).
