Why do People Crave for a Flagship Experience?

BlogsWhy do People Crave for a Flagship Experience?

This burgeoning question keeps smartphone companies on their toes. Why do people choose flagship smartphones and what exactly are flagship features? Many people choose smartphones solely based on their personal preference such as screen-size, storage, and camera, internal and exterior components. While these attributes allow smartphone companies to make unique and interesting devices, there is another aspect that largely comes into play, and that is affordability.

Most consumers want the best features for a suitable price and that is where the real challenge lies. No matter what an individual’s personal preference is, there is a certain level of basic features and capabilities that are to be expected from a smartphone, and all those are weighed against the price that an individual is paying.

With competition running stiff, people are faced with a plethora of options as companies are bringing one smartphone after another. They are more aware of their choices than ever before as not only the phones are getting smarter, so are the people.

Talking about flagship features in smartphones, consumers tend to ask does the price do justice to the phone itself? Are the features worth the money?

This article will help you understand what people like in a phone and why they need to have a flagship experience at least once in their life.

CAMERA:

A lot of people choose smartphones based on the camera. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that just because a phone has a higher number of megapixels, it does not necessarily mean that it is a good camera – or phone, for that matter. When and where you take the photos or videos, how you take them i.e. low-light, flash, night mode etc. all play a role in taking a good photograph or recording a video. Camera quality is something that many people don’t compromise on.

SCREEN:

The screen visibility and size are some of the most important things that customers examine while buying a new phone. High definition screens are available in almost all phones these days and while many people often focus on the screen-size and resolution, what they should focus most on is whether or not the screen is visible in the sun. Screen reflection is something that you need to look out for as it can cause a lot of visibility problems for the owner.

BATTERY / SMARTPHONE PERFORMANCE:

Let’s club these two together because they go hand-in-hand. A good performing smartphone with bad battery or vice versa can be a huge disappointment. Therefore, a power-packed performance coupled with a long-lasting battery is what catches people’s attention. Smartphone gaming is on the rise with the likes of PUBG, Fortnite and others, giving rise to the need for stronger processors and bigger batteries.

DESIGN:

Everyone loves to flaunt their style – especially when it comes to smartphones. Hence, a spectacularly designed smartphone can get people to empty their pockets. A good grip, stunning colors and a well-designed body are some of the important features that people look for in a smartphone.

STORAGE:

Most phones, flagship or otherwise, have a basic internal storage space of 32GB these days. Some have SD card slots while some don’t but one advantage of flagship smartphones is that you can extend the storage up to 512GB.

IS THERE A PHONE OUT THERE WITH ALL THESE FEATURES?

While a lot of phones today offer all these features and more, they also cost more than one’s average salary in Pakistan. Thankfully, this is where companies like Huawei come in. Over the years, Huawei has captured the excitement of people through their feature rich phones that are light on the pocket as well.

Last year, the company brought in a bestseller with HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2018 that combined all the flagship features for an amazing price. The smartphone included a large display held in an exquisitely designed body, a stunning triple camera and power-packed performance.

Now that 2019 has begun, it is time for the Y Series to be completely reimagined, promising much more of all that is cool, trendy and up-to-date. But for that, we all gotta wait and see…
