Months after ending all Covid related curbs on arrivals in the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has rolled out a convenient payment method under which the Hajj pilgrims can pay in three easy instalments, in contrary of paying the total amount in one go.
Hajj on Instalments
In a tweet shared by the official account of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, it said, ‘pilgrims can pay for Hajj package as partial payment and in separate periods’.
The poster shared by Saudi authorities reads, “Payment Option for Hajj Season 1444/2023 for Domestic Pilgrims”.
It said that Saudi authorities have allowed only domestic pilgrims to pay 20 per cent of the total amount as the first instalment within 72 hours of making a reservation for the Islamic pilgrimage.
After booking the slot with tentative payment, the second instalment of 40 per cent of the total cost will need to be paid by Rajab January 7, 29). The final payment should be made by Shawwal 10 — April 30, less than eight weeks before the start of Hajj 2023.

A separate invoice will be issued for all three payments while the reservation status is confirmed after completing all charges. It also warned that the reservation would be cancelled if the pilgrim failed to make the payments before the deadline mentioned above.
With the latest updates, Ministry also started electronic registration for booking a spot for Hajj this week, under which domestic pilgrims can apply via the official website or Nusuk portal.
