Mark Zuckerberg had planned to launch an event in 2021. The event “Connect 2021” was held and the CEO of Facebook introduced Meta. we heard about the name change of Facebook and here it is. Meta is a new brand for Facebook. it will bring all the apps and technologies under one name. Metaverse is coming to life through Meta because it will help people to connect to each other, find communities and grow businesses.
The metaverse will be a hybrid version of social media with the enhanced and most upgraded features. It will open up new ways into social technology. The users can connect to each other in a better way and experience things that they could not do in the physical world.
Connect 2021 explored what the virtual world will be like over the decade. They experienced how gaming, entertainment, commerce, education, and other social activities will change according to the metaverse.
What is Meta about?
Several technologists attended the event like Augmented and virtual reality developers, content creators, marketers, and other people who wanted to celebrate the company’s event.
There are new tools like the Presence platform that will enable new mixed reality experiences on Quest 2. It will build a metaverse. A $150 million investment is done to train the next generation of creators.
The site stated about Meta, “Our corporate structure is not changing, however, how we report on our financials will.”
It continued, “Starting with our results for the fourth quarter of 2021, we plan to report on two operating segments: Family of Apps and Reality Labs. We also intend to start trading under the new stock ticker we have reserved, MVRS, on December 1. Today’s announcement does not affect how we use or share data.”
