The 5G Pakistan – A New Road To New Technologies

The 5G Pakistan – A New Road To New Technologies The 5-G or let’s say – the fifth generation of wireless communication technologies – is all set to make its way to the mainstream. While the rest of the world is also transitioning to the 5G adaptation, Pakistan is also geared up to make this change and isn’t far behind. 5G Technologies In Pakistan The telecom operators Jazz and Zong have already conducted 5G speed tests in Pakistan. Both of the telecom operators did the tests after attaining official permission from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Jazz tested the first 5G service on 4th January 2020 with a speed of 1.43 Gigabytes per second. On the other hand, Zong’s first 5G video call was conducted on 6th January 2020 with a speed of over 1.5 Gbps. Why Is 5G Beneficial For Pakistan? The benefits of 5G are immense. It promotes ‘machine to machine communication’, which means that Pakistan will be able to use the technology in several industries while reducing human involvement. The agriculture and manufacturing industry will be the largest beneficiaries. Moreover, the internet speed will be faster than ever, and the greater bandwidth will be achieved. Hence, the decade-long problem of Pakistanis not getting good internet connectivity will be solved with it. The modems and cables will become a thing of the past and no broadcast vans or external equipment will be required for seamless, uninterrupted internet. Finally, with the 5G technology, devices like drones, self-driven cars, industrial robots, and several safety systems will be better controlled as well. If the technology is used in the right way, the medical procedures and treatments can be done remotely as well. This will completely revolutionize the healthcare industry of Pakistan. When Will 5G Be Released In Pakistan? According to the communications by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the 5G licenses are expected to be issued later this year. The Khaleej Times has reported that the 5G service in Pakistan will be 10 times faster than existing broadband connections and 100 times faster than the overall levels. The home routers will have a speed of 4 Gigabytes per second. We can’t wait for the official release of 5G and the amazing future it entails for the Pakistani technology industry.
