Blast targets FC vehicle in Quetta, several injured

QUETTA: A minor girl was killed and 18 others including women and children were injured when a blast occurred near the new Sariab police station in Quetta on Saturday.

Police said that the blast took place when a vehicle of the Frontier Corps (FC) was passing through the area, adding that an explosive device was planted in a rickshaw which went off.

The blast also damaged the FC vehicle as well as nearby hotel and shops.

Following the explosion, security personnel reached the blast site and cordoned off the area. Meanwhile, the injured were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
