MANDI BAHAUDDIN/LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the road to confrontation adopted by the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is not in favour of the Country and democracy.

“I appeal Nawaz Sharif to review his politics,” Bilawal Bhutto said while addressing media in Mandi Bahauddin on Monday, adding they did not indulge in politics of hatred.

The Chairman further said PPP would not make an alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2018 general elections. He also said there was no legal and constitutional reason for delay in elections.

Talking about the attack on the Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Bilawal Bhutto said they condemned the cowardly attack on Ahsan Iqbal. He said the attack on Ahsan Iqbal must be probed.

On Sunday evening, a person opened fire on Ahsan Iqbal in Kanjroor village of Narowal where he was to address a gathering. The minister received a bullet in his right arm.

Meanwhile, the Spokesman of the Punjab government Malik Ahmad Khan said today in a statement that every possible aspect of attack on Ahsan Iqbal was being investigated.

The Spokesman said Ahsan Iqbal was in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He said the attack on Ahsan Iqbal was a matter of great concern.

“We will review the security lapse while conducting investigations,” he said.

Malik Ahmed Khan said the initial statement of the accused Abid Husain was recorded but they had been waiting for the complete reports. He said the accused had not recorded his final statement yet.
