With the Federal Budget 2023-24 around the corner, it is expected that prices of Honda CD 70 and Honda 125 motorcycles may rise as the government intends to impose additional taxes to generate more revenue.Honda CD 70 and Honda 125 bike prices may go up after budget 2023-24

The Federal Budget for the next Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-23 with an expected outlay of nearly Rs 14,000 trillion will be presented by the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar at the National Assembly on June 09, 2023.

The reports surfacing on media suggest that new taxes worth Rs 700 billion are in the offing in the budget for the next fiscal year.

It’s most likely that the federal government will announce new taxes especially on imported and luxurious items for greater revenue generation.

In February 2023, the government enhanced the General sales tax (GST) from 17% to 18% on automobiles including motorcycles through a mini-budget.Honda CD 70 and Honda 125 bike prices may go up after budget 2023-24Though the Association of Pakistan Motorcycle Assemblers (APMA) has demanded the government to reduce the GST rate to 15% from the existing 18% in the forthcoming budget; however, no such relief is expected from the government, therefore, the taxes introduced under the mini-budget will remain intact.

In Pakistan, the price of Honda CD 70 currently stands at Rs 154,900 whereas the Honda CG 125 is costing Rs 229,900.

Since, the federal government seems to have no plan to slash the GST rate on automobiles and the rupee value continues to tumble against the US dollar; therefore, the prices of Honda Atlas bikes are likely to soar further following the budget.Honda CD 70 and Honda 125 bike prices may go up after budget 2023-24
