Islamabad, Pakistan: A national level contest for Best Innovation Awards (BITA) in Information Technology (IT) has been announced. This competition is organized under umbrella of Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT).

Best IT Innovation Awards-2015 announced

According to organizers here on Sunday, students and professionals associated with industry are eligible to apply. They said any product/project that already holds an award from any other agency or previously presented at BITA will not be eligible. Though, BITA funded products and projects are not kept from seeking grants and awards on other platforms. The award categories include Industry and Academia.

The first identifies such professionals belonging to industry who have significantly contributed to advancement of IT with their services in the past 12 months.

The contribution must be so significant that it should have an impact on the local industry or international research. Academia category accounts for contributions of students towards the advancement and development of IT. It is befitting of students who have a knack for sighting IT problems as opportunities for them to learn and develop solutions in order to assist those around them.

In addition to being either a Pakistani national or currently serving Pakistan, participants of both categories must have solid proof of concept.

The proposals must be submitted no later than September 21, The announcements of winners will then take place on November. Finally, the presentation and final evaluation of the proposal will be held from December 14, 2015 to December 16, 2015. The winners of the award can win Rs. 1,000,000 in each category.
