ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Thursday sent all the five accused of Bhara Kahu suicide attack on three-day physical remand on police request.

A suicide bomber targeted a Shia mosque on the outskirts of Islamabad in Bhara Kahu area on Friday but could not explode himself due to timely interception by a private security guard. The guard opened fire on the bomber as he entered the mosque and killed him.

Police on Thursday brought the accused including a woman in an armour personnel carrier (APC) amid tight security and presented them in the ATC.

Strict security arrangements were made outside the court on the occasion.
