The former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Hidayat Ullah among three persons were killed when a bomb went off in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district on Wednesday.

The explosion hit the vehicle of Senator Hidayat Ullah in Damadola area of Tehsil Mamond in Bajaur where, he was along with his nephew and Candidate PK-22 Najeeb Ullah, to participate in the by-election campaign.Bajaur blast: Senator Hidayat Ullah among three killed

The other two martyred were Malik Irfan of Niagbanda and Nazar Deen of Navgai.

The DSP Bajaur Bukht Junir told that the bomb was detonated through a remote-controlled device.

Meanwhile, the Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi strongly the explosion in Bajaur, and expressed grief and sorrow over the deaths of the former Senator Hidayat Ullah and two others.

The interior minister expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of the deceased.
