She is the sister of all-time famous actress Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas. Her father Ahmed Bashir was a famous writer, journalist, and intellectual of our country. Her sister Neelam Ahmad Bashir is also a poet & author. The four sisters have always made sure to express their talent in best possible ways to entertain people. That's the reason their fandom has been sustaining since the time they have been working in the field.  Sumbul's husband, Major Shahid Nasir, was in the Pakistani Army. She had been living with him Lahore, Pakistan. The veteran actress has two sons and a daughter. However, Sumbul had to go through the toughest time following her son Shiraz’s death a year ago. He passed away in a paragliding accident in Chitral. Career As far as Shahid's career is concerned, she is known as a brilliant Pakistani actress famous for her roles in dramas Aeteraaf,  Ishqaaway, and Nand.  Sumbul started her career as a hostess of the talk show 'Golden Girls'. Then she worked at a Punjabi channel 'Apna channel' for four years. She used to interview female politicians in Punjabi. 'Taaky Ki Aae Gi Barat' was her debut drama in which she played the role of mother of the protagonist; Taaka.  Death Sumbul Shahid passed away on 6th May, 2021 in Lahore. She lost her month-long battle against Covid-19. Sumbul tested positive about a month ago and was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Lahore.
