Meanwhile, state run news agency APP reported that over 1,000 police personnel are performing their duties to maintain peace and order during first 10 days of Muharram. Talking to APP, police official in Bahawalpur said that over 1,000 police personnel have been deployed in and around imambargahs and on the routes of Muharram-ul-Haram related processions to provide security to the mourners. According to correspondent of Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency, seven mourning processions were taken out in Kotwali, Noshahra Jadid, Och Sharif, Saddar area, Qaimpur, Civil Lines, Abbas Nagar, Dera Nawab Sahb, Chani Goth and Head Rajkan areas.
