Mustafa Amir Murder Case: Horrifying revealing surfacing about lifestyle in gated communities such as DHA Karachi Monitoring Desk: Horrific information are surfacing in the Mustafa Amir murder case, a young boy of age 23, who was kidnapped and allegedly murdered by his friends namely Armaghan and Sheraz in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi on January 6. It is pertinent to mention that two policemen were injured when they raided house of accused Armaghan in response of police raid open fire over police party with automatic weapons and this firing continued for over an hour. The house is owned by a retired officer of a sensitive institution. The police now accepted that the house had extraordinary security arrangements, guarded with “walk through” gates installed and nobody could open the main gate as well as internal wooden gate without using the person of the Armaghan who used to manage security through a computerized system. Now police also accepted that there was a dancing floor in the house and he bungalow was famous for socialite’s parties, drugs and weapons. The police claimed that the place was used for running an illegal Call Center that was involved in money laundering business. Could it be possible that the owner of the house did not know what kind of business and activities were being conducted by the occupant of the house? The media interviews with fathers of accused Armaghan and deceased victim Mustafa Amir portrayed a horrific picture of a social class that believes having drugs and enjoying weird parties are admissible, a new norm and parents accept such activities open heartedly. The father of deceased when asked by media people that did he not know that his son was involved in drugs and weird parties, he said –Yes I know and this is normal in Defence (DHA Karachi) and youth enjoys such activities. When asked the same question to father of accused he was of the view that he had information and he believed that anything that was grown by nature is normal to use including drugs. Now police is trying to get hold of one of foreigner lady who had allegedly been present on the scene when Mustafa Amir was murdered, then his legs and arms were cut and his body was put inside his own car and drove to Balochistan. Accused Sheraz confirmed that he and Armaghan stuffed body of Mustafa Amir in the trunk of his car and torched it in the Hub area of Balochistan.

Reham Khan believes state has failed to counter PTI’s media management Monitoring Desk: Bold and blunt Reham Khan in her press conference shared her insight about media management of PTI and counterproductive response from the government. Although Rehman’s role in media had been related only to a character of an anchor but her thoughtful comments on media related issues were worth to listen. Reham Khan spoke out how mainstream media, particularly television screens are controlled by PTI’s narrative while government is trying to fight the PTI in media war through releasing advertisements in newspapers as well as television screens but according to Rehman Khan, this move of government has failed to provide counter narrative to dangerous campaigns of PTI against state institutions. He believes that failure in the field of media is relates to picking up illogical and inexperience media managers that government is using. Giving an example of “Green Initiative” project of the government, Rehman rightfully indicated that positive moves of the government are not being documented and promoted by the print as well as electronic while social media handling of the government placed it nowhere. The bold and blunt Reham Khan even talked what PMLN government had not dared to while claiming that Mian Nawaz Sharif twice sent home for his China-tilted foreign policy that according to Reham Khan did not suit the then establishment and now PMLN is backed because today’s establishment has no problem with pro-China or China-tilted foreign policy. Listen her press conference to listen a thoughtful viewpoint of Reham Khan over the media management of the government, that according to Reham Khan is a total failure.
