ISLAMABAD: The Met Office has predicted widespread rains in central and southern parts the country during the next 48 hours.

In a fresh advisory it said at times heavy and very heavy falls are likely in South Punjab‚ Eastern Balochistan and Upper Sindh during the next two days. Scattered rain-thundershower is also expected elsewhere in the country.

Meanwhile the Met Office has also warned about high risk of flash flooding in the local streams and barsati Nullahs of D.G. Khan‚ Zhob‚ Sibbi‚ Nasirabad and Kalat divisions during the next 48 hours.

It has advised all concerned authorities to remain high alert during the next two days.
