KARACHI: The Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) will stage a peaceful protest demonstration at Lasbela Chowk in Karachi today (Friday), the Jamaat leader Maulana Aurangzeb Farooqi said.

Talking with media persons during a press conference in Karachi at the ASWJ’s media cell, the ASWJ leader denied reports that his outfit gave strike call in the metropolis today.

Farooqi said that the protest has been moved from Tibet Center to Lasbela Chowk on the plea by Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan.

Meantime, the ASWJ leader urged the traders to keep their businesses open today and transporters to bring their vehicles on to roads.
