ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The COAS was given a detailed briefing on operational matters of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

During the meeting between the COAS and the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, matters of mutual professional interest were discussed.

The Air Chief highlighted various ongoing projects being carried out by the PAF.

The COAS hailed PAF’s sacrifices for the Country and their all-out support to the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).

The Army Chief also appreciated the PAF’s role in the provision of humanitarian assistance and facilitating recent evacuation operations from Afghanistan.

The COAS praised the operational preparedness of the PAF while appreciating the motivation level of all ranks.

Meanwhile, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Asman Manza area of South Waziristan district on reported presence of terrorists.

The ISPR said that five terrorists were killed in the operation.

However, during the intense exchange of fire with terrorists, seven soldiers embraced shahadat.

The ISPR said that cordon and search operation still was progress to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area.
