RAWALPINDI: The candidacy of Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rasheed from NA-55, Rawalpindi, was challenged on Tuesday.

A petition filed in an Election Tribunal has alleged that Rasheed did not declare Lal Haveli in his assets on nomination papers. It said that the AML chief had violated the ideology of Pakistan.

The complainant further said Rasheed was married, but he failed to declare his marriage in nomination papers.

He argued that nomination papers of Rasheed be rejected as he was not Sadiq and Amin under Article 62, 63 of the Constitution.
