PakistanIs the alleged fake degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri under question...

Islamabad, Pakistan: The Islamabad High Court has constituted a full bench headed by Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq, who is hearing the contempt case regarding news about the alleged fake degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

Notices have also been issued to the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), and journalists Ghareeda Farooqui, Amar Solangi, and Hassan Ayub. The hearing of the case has been adjourned till summer vacation.

The information regarding the alleged fake degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri on social media and the evidence related to it are still a mystery to which no answer has come from the judiciary, especially the honorable judge, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

The is surprising that instead of giving a clear answer by Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri that his degree is not fake, the judiciary is considering information released by Karachi University as ‘Contempt’ of the court. This approach of the High Judiciary and Honorable Judges is being discussed in the legal circles. Every day, allegations are made on social media against various institutions and personalities. If those allegations are not true, then the institutions and personalities come forward and answer with evidence and deny the allegations, but here the attitude of the judiciary has changed.

Will Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri resign like Nepali judge Omkar Upadhyaya did when a case of fake degree was filed against him?
Will Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri resign like Nepali judge Omkar Upadhyaya did when a case of fake degree was filed against him?

There is no doubt that honorable judges are respectable, but every state institution is respectable, but what happened to other institutions and their important personalities when they criticized and insulted them on social media?

Legal experts also say that with the start of contempt of court proceedings against the fake degree social media campaign, this issue will be further discussed. You cannot stop the social media, in this regard, more criticism will be made on the honorable judge, how will Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri and the judges respond to this criticism?

In the same courts, when the state or the state institutions come and request to curb the social media, the same honorable judges say that “You want us to restrict the freedom of expression”, legal experts also say that now this social media has become a camel without a seal due to the pampering of the Supreme Judiciary, from which no one is safe.
