ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) will be upgraded and provided all the latest equipment to sharpen their skills, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced on Friday.

The prime minister made the announcement at the cheque distribution ceremony for the heirs of the martyrs of Karachi airport terror incident in Islamabad on Friday.

Sharif distributed cheques of Rs3 million each among the heirs of the martyrs. He also announced to provide government jobs to the heirs of the martyrs.

On the occasion, the prime minister paid great homage to the martyrs and said that their sacrifices will not go waste. He said by sacrificing their lives, the martyrs not only safeguarded the precious assets of the nation but also enhanced the dignity of the nation.

Nawaz Sharif said that our security forces personnel will frustrate all evil designs of the terrorists. He also announced that the ASF will be upgraded and provided all the latest equipment to sharpen their skills.
