ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Friday declared the final result of its B.Ed programme Semester Autumn, 2016.

According to Controller Exams, result of BA programme will also be announced by next week. The results of Matric and Intermediate have already been declared.

   

All these results have been placed at the University’s official website, and download copy is acceptable for taking admission in the next programme, said a press release on Friday.

B.Ed is the biggest programme of the University that encompasses thousands of students all over the country, he said.

Meanwhile, formal result intimation cards were also being dispatched to the students at their postal address.

The results’ declaration is almost ahead of schedule and prior to closing of ongoing admissions autumn semester 2017.  The last date for the admissions is September 5.

Controller Exams said that the process of results’ declaration and issuance of certificate/degree to the students was expedited as per the instructions of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shahid Siddiqui.

The AIOU has recently introduced an online tracking system for facilitation of students to check status of their degrees and certificates.

The status of the applications submitted by the students for provisional result cards and degrees could now be checked through the newly developed official website (dts.aiou.edu.pk).

The applications received from the students are immediately acknowledged through the text message and the students’ email accounts.

A new IT-based mechanism was also developed in order to minimize the coordination and communication gap among the applicants and the Examination Department.

During the last two and half years, the AIOU taken a number of initiatives to bring about qualitative improvement in the admission, examination and delivery system, under the policy-guideline given by the Vice Chancellor.

The University has a huge students’ network with annual around 1.3 million enrollment and it was trying to efficiently handle the academic network.

Recently, the University’s 44 regional offices have been activated to meet the academic needs as well as to address their complaints on fast-track basis.

The students complaints management centres at the main Campus and regional offices have also been upgraded.
