Kabul, Afghanistan: Pakistan Embassy in Kabul is providing visas as routine and there is no problem to get visa for Afghan people for Pakistan.

According to available information, there were some media reports that certain Afghan visa applicants created a law and order situation by blocking the roads leading to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul.

It may, however, be noted that there was no incident involving the Pakistan Embassy premises as claimed in some of these reports.

The Afghan authorities resolved the matter and consular services of the Embassy are continuing smoothly.

The Embassy officials remain in regular, close contact with the Afghan authorities including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Special Force for the security of diplomatic Missions in Kabul and the Afghan Police, on all such matters.

When contacted, a source in Foreign Office of Pakistan in Islamabad said that the Foreign Office is also in close contact with the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul and there is no issue of releasing visas to Afghan nationals as claimed in some reports appeased in Afghan media.

It is pertinent to mention that Afghan media is quite hostile against Pakistan and most of time publishes unfounded stories without checking facts and getting version of Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul.
