Kabul, Afghanistan:  To protect the Kabul Airport from missile attacks, the Afghan army has activated a new air defense system at Kabul airport, reports the official website of the Ministry of Defence of Afghanistan.

The Afghan ministries of defense and interior affairs issued a statement announcing that the new air defense systems at the Kabul airport would be operational. The Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Afghanistan did not provide any additional information either about the system itself or about the country that supplied it to Afghanistan.
