After the Afghan Taliban took over Afghanistan, Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist incidents. Due to the collaboration of the Afghan Taliban, Afghanistan has become a paradise for terrorists, where other terrorist organizations including Fitna al-Khuraj (official name of TTP terrorists) are strengthening, which has put the peace of the region, especially Pakistan, at stake.

After the increasing incidents of terrorism in Pakistan, a final decision has been made by the Ministry of Interior, according to which all Afghans residing here have been given clear orders to leave the country by March 31. Strict action will be taken against Afghans who do not leave Pakistan by the due date and no leniency will be shown in this, nor will the date of leaving the country be extended. After the due date, law enforcement agencies will be forced to raid and arrest these Afghans and send them back as per the constitution.

Pakistan has been hosting Afghan refugees for the last four decades, but the Afghan interim government’s support for the TTP is extremely regrettable. The government of Pakistan has finally decided that if Afghan soil is being used against Pakistan, then Pakistan will have to take a tough stand on it. All Afghan refugees will have to return to their homeland by March 31. For the sovereignty and security of Pakistan, we are not ready to keep any Afghan refugee here.

There is clear evidence of the involvement of Afghan terrorists in the growing terrorism in Pakistan, after which the Ministry of Interior has had to take this most important decision. The evidence has proven that Afghan residents living here illegally facilitate terrorists coming from Afghanistan. On March 4, 2025, the Khwaraj attacked Bannu Cantt, which was foiled by the Pakistan Army and security forces, sacrificing five soldiers, and killing all 16 terrorists. Most of these 16 have been proven to be from Afghanistan, and evidence has also emerged that this attack was fully prepared on Afghan soil under the umbrella of the Afghan interim government.

Earlier, in February, some terrorists were killed during an operation. Among the killed terrorists was a terrorist named Badruddin alias Yousuf, whose body had initially refused to accept the Afghan interim government, but his body was later recovered, which is proof that Afghan terrorists carry out terrorism in Pakistan. Badruddin alias Yousuf was the son of the deputy governor of the Afghan province of Baghdis.

Pakistan, which is currently a victim of terrorism, has many reasons, the most important of which is the safe havens and training centers of Fitna al-Khawarij and other terrorist organizations in Afghanistan, about which Pakistan has presented evidence to the Afghan interim government many times, but no positive step has been taken by them. The second major reason for the increasing terrorism in Pakistan is the latest weapons left by the Americans during their hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, which have now fallen into the hands of Fitna al-Khawarij and other terrorist organizations, while the Afghan interim government is also gaining financial benefits by selling these weapons.

Unfortunately, the entire system of Afghanistan is linked to terrorist activities and has become the center of a proxy war.

Afghan National involved in terrorism was killed in Datta Khel of North Waziristan Rawalpindi, Pakistan: On 6 February 2025, an Afghan National involved in terrorism inside Pakistan was killed during an operation conducted by the security forces in general area Datta Khel of North Waziristan. The individual was later identified as Luqman Khan alias Nusrat (Afghan National), Son of Kamal Khan, resident of Spera District, Khost Province, Afghanistan. Interim Afghan Government authorities are being approached to take over the body of the individual, being an Afghan citizen. Such incidents are irrefutable evidence of involvement of Afghan Nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan. Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfill its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan. It may be mentioned the leadership of Pakistan Army during 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference expressed grave concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by Fitna Al Khawarij for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The forum stressed the imperative of concrete and tangible actions by Interim Afghan Government against Fitna Al Khawarij (TTP terrorists) instead of denials as well as continuing with the strategy of undertaking all necessary measures in defence of Pakistan and its people. Participants paid profound tribute to the sacrifices made by the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have laid down their lives in pursuit of peace and stability of their beloved motherland. The forum undertook a comprehensive review of the regional, and internal security landscape, assessing the full spectrum of threats.

A few days ago, US President Donald Trump also said in a very clear and unequivocal manner that Joe Biden’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan was a wrong decision and an even bigger mistake was leaving modern weapons on Afghan soil which have now fallen into the hands of the Afghan interim government who are selling them, by buying which terrorist organizations have become a big threat to all the countries of the region. Therefore, now is the time for Pakistan to take big decisions including deporting illegally residing Afghans to protect its citizens and get rid of the scourge of terrorism so that Pakistan can once again become a cradle of peace.
