PoliticsAdvocate Mian Dawood files quo warranto against Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Advocate Mian Dawood has filed a quo warranto against the Islamabad High Court (IHC) judge Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.

In his plea, it was stated that rudimentary law degree of Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri is fake and against his degree and violation of code of conduct a reference has also been filed at the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).

The plea added that as per controller examination, an enrollment number cannot be assigned to two persons for a complete degree as Marks Sheet of Tariq Jahangiri has another name of enrolled person.

It maintained that the Constitution grants authority to the IHC to conduct Inquiry under the writ of Quo Warranto despite the fact that an Inquiry is already pending against a judge in the SJC.

The plea requested that on above said facts, declare the appointment of Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri as null and void and direct him to immediately stop judicial work.
