ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Admiral Zakaullah has been appointed as the new Chief of Pakistan Navy after he was promoted to the new rank from Vice Admiral.
His appointment was made by President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as the current Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Asif Sandila will retire on October 7.
Earlier in 2011, Asif Sandila was promoted to the rank of Admiral and appointed Chief of the Naval Staff.
