FAISALABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will soon inaugurate power projects capable to generate five to eight thousand megawatt (MW) of electricity.

Addressing an Iftar party in Faisalabad‚ he said the government would review the IPPs agreements.

Abid Sher Ali said the Prime Minister is holding daily meetings on energy issue to provide relief to domestic‚ industrial‚ commercial and agricultural consumers.

He said a campaign against power pilferers has been launched and cases had been registered against four hundred and seventy people in this connection.
